I found this list on the Topyaps, a website dealing with Top 10 Lists. The gallery contained the names of most popular brands in the world. The list is as follows:

- Mc Donald's
- Microsoft
I want to point out that it misses few really popular brands like Apple, BMW, Mercedes and Samsung.
While Apple and Samsung are major players in the technology and electronics sector, BMW and Mercedes are the most popular companies in the Automobile sector. The products (cars and gadgets) from these brands sell solely based on brands reputation in the concerned areas of product manufacturing. So the list according to me must be:
